He has also worked as a verification Engineer in Wipro Technologies in the domain of ASIC Design & Verification. He holds Masters of Technology degree in VLSI Design & CAD from Thapar University. He has vast experience in conducting patentability searches, litigation searches, validity/invalidity searches, FTOs, patent monitoring. Apart from this, his experience also includes providing patent analytics services such as Landscaping, patent mining. His technical strengths lie in semiconductor IC fabrication, CMOs circuit design, semiconductor memory architectures, low power techniques, analog & digital circuits, and ASIC/FPGA design.
TUSHAR GUPTA
Tushar has more than 14 years of enriched experience in the field of Telecom, Patent Research & Analytics, and Business Research. Prior to starting his own venture, he held a leadership position with one of the world's top startup scouting firms. Earlier, he worked as an AVP with one of the largest IP firms. Over the years, he has managed numerous clients spread across geographies & provided tailored business & patent solutions. He holds Engineering degree in Electronics & Communications from NSIT (University of Delhi). He is a certified PRINCE2 Agile practitioner from AXELOS, UK. He holds Diploma in Business from ICFAI university. National Workshop on Enhancing Indian Participation in Telecom Global Standards Bodies.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to the Govt. of India for inviting our co-founder, Gaurav, as a speaker at the "National Workshop on enhancing Indian Participation in Telecom Global Standards Bodies" organized by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) in association with the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) and the Telecommunications Standards Development Society India (TSDSI). It was an honor for him to be a part of such a prestigious event and share his knowledge and experiences with the attendees on the topic: “How to create and leverage SEPs”. Gaurav’s speech underscored the critical role of SEPs in technology standards, offered practical advice on developing SEP portfolios, and emphasized the need for a long-term innovation strategy. It also touched on the opportunities and challenges of SEP licensing in various industries.
In the current context, active involvement in global standardization efforts holds immense strategic significance for India. It plays a pivotal role in accelerating technological development, bolstering manufacturing capabilities, and positioning India as a prominent player on the international stage. Engaging in global standard-setting organizations is imperative to ensure that the specific requirements of India's communications industry are considered.
India is actively participating in standardization endeavors for Telecom and ICT products across several international bodies, including ITU, 3GPP, ISO, IEC, IEEE, OneM2M, and others. By actively contributing to these standardization processes, India has the opportunity to shape global telecommunications standards, aligning them with the evolving needs and demands of the country. Furthermore, this engagement serves as a catalyst for Indian industries and startups to integrate into the global value chain.
To bolster Indian participation in global standardization activities, the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) and the Telecommunications Standards Development Society India (TSDSI), recently organized a one-day "National Workshop on Enhancing Indian Engagement in Telecom Global Standards Bodies."
The primary objective of this workshop was twofold: first, to foster a comprehensive understanding of the telecommunications standardization process and, second, to increase India's active involvement and contributions to international standardization bodies. The workshop aimed to educate relevant stakeholders about the organizational structure and functions of various working groups within India that correspond to international standardization organizations such as ITU-T, ITU-R, ITU-D, 3GPP, IEEE, and others. Additionally, the workshop emphasized the crucial role that standardization plays in the growth and promotion of industries and startups in India.
